What is Sculptra® Aesthetic?
Sculptra® is for anyone looking for long-lasting results in facial contouring, facial augmentation, or wrinkle correction. Sculptra® is different from other injectables because it targets the underlying causes of aging by working deep within the dermis, reinforcing your skin’s structure. The results you get from Sculptra® can last up to two years, and it has been shown to provide up to 80% improvement in treated areas.
How Can Sculptra Help?
Sculptra® treats many signs of aging, including:
- Lost facial volume around the eyes and cheeks
- Facial depressions or contour deficiencies
- Smile lines
- Marionette lines
- Chin wrinkles
Sculptra® Aesthetic is made from poly-L-lactic acid and is an injectable filler designed to counteract the aging process that leads to collagen depletion and loss of structural integrity. By gradually stimulating collagen production, Sculptra® reduces fine lines, facial wrinkles and contour deficiencies.
At Houston’s Integrated Aesthetics, Dr. Cho and Dr. Chiang have helped many patients find long-lasting skin rejuvenating solutions by offering Sculptra® treatments.
NOTE: People who currently have a skin infection, are allergic to any ingredient in Sculptra®, or have a history of keloid formation or hypertonic scarring do not make good candidates for this treatment.
What to Expect Before and After Your Sculptra® Treatment
Before the injection, Dr. Cho or Dr. Chiang will clean your face with an antiseptic. Sculptra will be carefully injected with a needle into the predetermined site. Gentle massaging motions will promote smooth and even results, and in less than an hour your doctor will have completed the treatment. After the injection, Sculptra® works to stimulate collagen production with final results becoming visible after a series of 2 to 4 sessions over a 3 to 6 week period.
