Restylane & Juvederm Treatments for Spring,Houston & Tomball

Cosmetic fillers are perfect for Houston, Texas clients who are looking to augment their lips or soften the fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth. Sometimes these dreaded lines are referred to as ‘smoker’s’ lines. As you age, the natural collagen and elasticity of your skin begins to disappear, leaving you with flat, wrinkled and lackluster lips. Even those who are young may have a desire to have fuller or more shapely lips. This is where dermal fillers can be very beneficial. Fillers are used to fill in fine lines and wrinkles, give depth, create shape to the face or enhance certain features, such as your lips.

Integrated Aesthetics carries several different products from three leading manufacturers of dermal fillers. Each product can be used in a different way. For instance, some dermal fillers are considered “soft” fillers while others are “firmer.” Soft cosmetic fillers are used to fill in your early signs of aging, as well as provide a gentle boost to your lips. These are naturally occurring substances that are found in the human body, and their effects can easily be reversed by using an enzyme. “Firm” fillers are used to sculpt areas of the face and provide depth.

People reach out to cosmetic professionals for lip augmentation for several different reasons, but the bottom line always boils down to enhancing how we feel about ourselves. Clients want to feel comfortable with themselves and have the beautiful features that they desire. After using cosmetic fillers, these patients love their lips. It is important to remember, however, that the most important determinant of a great lip augmentation/enhancement result is the experience and knowledge-base of who is injecting the product. A poor outcome is more a reflection of poor technique rather than the quality of the product. Here are two of our most popular products, Restylane and Juvederm.

Restylane

The main ingredient in Restylane is a substance called hyaluronic acid. This is a naturally occurring substance in the human body, which is one reason why it is a common choice as a dermal filler. Restylane is injected into your skin using small needles. Over time, the product works to smooth wrinkles and boost facial volume in the specific areas of injection, such as the lips. Since hyaluronic acid diminishes as a person ages, Restylane can restore some of this volume loss. The product works great for procedures such as lip augmentation, where patients are hoping to accentuate certain features of the lip. This is a “soft” filler, meaning that the finished look is very smooth and natural in appearance.

The procedure is quick and noninvasive. It can be completed in as little as 10 to 30 minutes. One benefit to using Restylane as a dermal filler is that you will be able to perform your normal daily activities immediately after you leave the office. Have a consultation with your cosmetic professional to discuss your goals.

Juvederm

Juvederm is another popular product used for lip enhancement. Patients across Houston, Texas have had great success when using Juvederm for lip augmentation. It provides long-lasting results and is a biodegradable product. Like Restylane, Juvederm is a hyaluronic acid that restores a natural appearance to a client’s face and lips.

Getting Juvederm injections is well tolerated. This noninvasive procedure can be completed in under 30 minutes. There are different injection depths available to meet the needs of clients’ individual goal plans. Your cosmetic professional will mark areas on your face and lips where you would like to see improvements. With all dermal fillers a topical anesthetic can be used to reduce pain. Cooling of the lips immediately prior to the procedure can further reduce the level of discomfort. However, the biggest determinant of the discomfort level for either Juvederm or Restylane treatments is the experience of the injector and the steadiness of their hands. After the injections, your injector will massage the injection site to insure that the product is distributed evenly beneath the skin on your face. After your procedure has concluded, ice can be used to further reduce swelling.
